The RPA Citizen Developer Foundation course is a 13hr, fully virtual course that will allow you to pick up basic RPA developer skills, through guided video tutorials and practical exercises, all at your own pace. Comprising 8 individual modules, the course is designed to gradually expand your RPA knowledge using StudioX, a low-code developer tool for beginners. No previous coding experience is required!
Upon completion of the course, please submit a PDF copy of your Diploma of Completion to us via digital_automation_coe@temasek.com.sg

UiPath StudioX is a low-code/no-code platform that allows users to easily to automate their tasks. It utilizes a no-code drag-and-drop construction, complete with a friendly user interface and pre-designed templates, it enables users to build their own automation in a matter of hours. StudioX is the perfect tool for you to automate your daily mundane tasks.
UiPath Studio is best suited for skilled RPA developers looking to build complex automations that include capabilities of managing and invoking 3rd party code or implementing proper error handling. UiPath Studio allow automations to be deployed at scale and at an enterprise level for both attended and unattended scenarios.
UiPath StudioX is a more limited version of Studio, dedicated to those with no prior technical background or coding skills. UiPath StudioX’s low-code/no-code platform aims to enable every business user to automate simple day-to-day repetitive tasks and is meant to be easy to build for self-use.
StudioX can be installed on your corporate laptop for building automations, after you have first cleared the required RPA Citizen Developer Foundation online course via UiPath Academy and RPA Citizen Developer Best Practices via MyHRStory.
Until then, you may only use StudioX on your personal Windows device for e-learning purposes. Given that StudioX can replicate any number of human action in systems, the course completion will help provide you with a basic working knowledge of the tool, to avoid accidentally programming any undesired action.
Once completed, refer to the user guide to raise a Software request through ServiceNow for StudioX to be installed in your corporate device.
It may take up to 3 working days for the team to push StudioX to your corporate laptop.
Upon completion of the RPA Citizen Developer Foundation course and RPA Citizen Developer Best Practices module, you will be entitled to utilize an Enterprise Trial License for StudioX to be installed in your corporate device which is valid for 2 months only. Your trial license can be converted to a full Enterprise License after you are certified as a Citizen Developer.
To be certified as a Citizen Developer, you will be required to build a working automation and the code will need to be evaluated by the Digital Automation COE Team.
No, there are no evaluation criteria to meet as long as you have a working automation. You are welcome to select any process that will benefit you. Check out the Process Framework for guidelines on selecting a suitable process to automate.

Convert your automation into a zip format and send it to us at digital_automation_coe@temasek.com.sg. The code evaluation will take 3-5 working days. Once your code evaluation is completed, your Trial license will be converted to an Enterprise license, and you will be officially certified as a Citizen Developer!

License renewal exercises are conducted every quarter. If you wish to continue building more automations or enhancing your existing automations, please ensure to run your automations through UiPath StudioX or UiPath Assistant as much as possible.
Firstly, ensure that your automation is published to your department’s folder. Refer to the user guide for step-by-step instructions on publishing automations.
Next, check if your team member has an active Automation User license. If yes, your team member should be able to run your automations through their UiPath Assistant.

Power Automate is a cloud-based service for creating automated workflows between applications and services. It is entirely web-based and does not require any installation.
Power Automate Desktop is a Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tool that allows users to automate repetitive tasks on their desktop applications. It requires installation on a local machine and enables automation of legacy applications and complex processes.
In Temasek, we encourage users to use Power Automate cloud flow.

Microsoft Power Automate is a cloud-based automation platform that allows you to automate mundane and manual processes within the Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, SharePoint and Teams.
It is free and available to use for all Temasek employees.
PPE refers to an environment provided by Microsoft to enhance personal productivity. This environment allows you to develop Power Automate flows and Power apps for personal or shared usage.
The Microsoft suite in Temasek previously hosted all user-created flows and apps in a default environment. Now, we’ve introduced a personal productivity environment (PPE) to streamline governance of these flows and apps. The default environment will soon be decommissioned once the migration of all apps and flows is finalized.
To develop apps and flows for personal or shared usage, access to the personal productivity environment is required. The default environment ‘Temasek Capital Management Pte. Ltd’, will soon be phased out. It’s essential for you to transition to the PPE environment to create new flows/apps or operate existing ones.
